| Alice is have a toe amputation today. I will stick to the story she had a fight with a mama bear and 2 cubs living in the area, and as she kicked dirt in their face the mama bear bit her toe partially off. Sound good? now for the real reason - she tore her nail off after the swelling etc went down Ann said the bone was sticking out and we have to do it. She is in there now, and as she is getting up in age please keep good thoughts for the outcome. Vet said she must of sliced it on metal or something - can't find any sign of it anywhere so the bear story sounds good.
Tough old girl has been on antibiotics etc and never even limps and still wants to go for walks. __________________ Debbie |

Oh dear Deb - that is worrisome - she must have done quite the job on her toe/foot! I bet she'll be just fine & up to her normal (?) antics very soon! Pls send an update when you can. Hugs from here! __________________ Cindy

Hoping good thoughts and sending best wishes for a speedy recovery for Alice. You can let her know my grannie had a toe amputated when she was a young flapper, that was so she could wear narrower shoes (that was the story anyway, might have been a bear as well, she was Canadian!!) Thinking of you Alice ! __________________ http://www.kyniska.com |

Aw...many prayers for Alice! I am having a hell of a time with my boy and his toe amputation. But, he is a big turd and won't stop licking it - I've tried everything. He is fine though - and recovered fully (but for the licking). Please let us know how she is doing and I think the bear story is awesome! __________________ Sarah |

Prayers for Alice. You can't even tell Yogi ever had a toe amputation unless you look for it. It's not noticeable and he doesn't limp at all. __________________ Terri Perkins

Connie - I did - the biggest size they make don't come close to fitting. He has chewed up 3 Medipaw boots (3 more on order). I have used duct tape (which he loves to chew)...socks...bitter apple...bitter yuck. Nothing.
I need to get that shark suit material for him - the stuff that divers wear to keep sharks from biting hard....anyone know where I can get some? __________________ Sarah |

Home sleeping doesnt even realized anything is wrong and of course everyone else (her daughters) thinks she must of been doing something really special and showing how much they missed her. __________________ Debbie |
