As far as we know so far (maybe there is a Mastiff bitch out there that can prove us wrong):
"Mastiff" Bitches can be "genetically affected" but they do not express symptoms of the disease and can pass the gene to their offspring.
"Mastiff" Males can be both "genetically affected" and "phenotypically affected". Affected cystinuric males can pass the gene to their offspring and they can also express symptoms of the disease such as having elevated levels of cystine and other amino acids (COLA) in their urine and possibly form cystine crystals &/or cystine stones.
We are unaware of any Mastiff bitches ever forming cystine crystals or stones or that have ever blocked from cystine stones.

My Newto's Dam came out of Wassams Mighty Max and has tested negative. Also on his sire's side is Greiner Hall Neo. I am not an expert in genetics, but I also was directed to this thread through a Google search on Wassams Mighty Max, so figured I should get him tested. It is recommended to test annually? I saw several comments around multiple tests with differing results.

Age affects testing. Males should start testing at 18 months and continue yearly for their life. Not too many males test positive early on. I won't even consider a male until he has been clear past 4 years old and that's not always fool proof.

Thank you Teresa, I will make sure I continue on with the testing. Both his parents tested negative, so I am "hopeful" this will not be an issue.
