Linda, I am doing my best not to cry while I am at work--but believe me--the pics of Max is just as bad.
No dog house, lying on filty soiled straw, on the cold frozen ground. It just makes me want to retch.
I would have been more than happy to bring Max, Tilly and any of the others here to stay. I have a heated house with pernament crates set up--at least 6 of them could have come here.
Gloria, I don't know what's going on with you and I really don't care-- I can't understand why you would let them just starve and die. Damn woman--giving them away would have been better. Have you gotten so hard hearted that you just don't care?
Well, if you were looking to burn bridges--you just flamed the last one.

I'm sure she has moved JC and the dogs that can be bred--I will bet the dogs left in SC are the ones that can't be bred anymore. I'm sure LInda and a few others will leave no stone unturned in Fla to find her.

I am sick. Horrified! How is it that a person can do this? I just don't understand. I am so sorry Linda, for Tilly and the others that suffered. How can we stop her? Forget the courts, they are to soft...

I received a private e-mail with a number for Kazia, but again, a generic message. I am sure KAzia does not want to speak to me right now, but I am willing to listen and give her the benefit of the doubt.
If anyone on this board is in contact with Kazia, please advise her that she needs to get in touch with me within the hour or I will take matters into my own hands.
If anyone remembers my bulls--t suspension from the MCOA for taking back one of my dogs before, this will make that look sweet. I will find her and I will take my dogs away from her!!
Sorry for the anger, fear makes me angry, especially when the fear is triggered by the possible senseless death of my dogs. Hell hath no fury like this woman scorned.

Linda, I wanted to contact you straight away when I saw the pics of your beautiful Tilly, Gloria's ' pride & joy' a couple of days ago. She died whilst Kazia was getting treatment elsewhere. She came home to FIND her like this! ..so died Max, pitiful! Do you have his pictures? The fate of Groria's 'definition in life' Ch Max awarded Best Veteran at Bucks 2 years ago....finishing his life frozen in frozen urine, feceas & filths...ironically Gloria contacted me that day ( saying NOTHING about Tilly) saying 'not many things make her cry but she cried about Max'...then covered him with a piece of tin leaving him there to decompose...She told Kazia she buried Lana as well....found under the bushes decomposing much later. Kazia could not dig graves in the frozen ground to bury all dogs , but apparently she buried Tilly. Awww I have been in tears for days! I don't know how much you know about Heather and her poor, poor dogs in TN ...that was another absolute waste of life and dog tragedy just a few months back...with Gloria as the backdrop.

My heart goes out to Linda for her loss and to Suzie I hope you find your babies. If I can help in anyway let me know.
I am not at all surprised as I have been trying to tell people about her for what like 10 YEARS NOW BUT NO ONE WOULD LISTEN!!!!!!!!. I am only surprised its taken this long for it to go this far. Years ago when I was at her house the conditions were terrible. I have posted this on EVERY LIST AND BOARD OUT THERE JUST ABOUT. Including the English mastiff yahoo list and Breeders list. Gloria and I have had it out publicly and privately over how she takes care of her dogs and that she is a puppy mill.. I am so sad for the poor dogs. Please get the ones alive help and turn the BITCH into AKC and animal control. Get her out of animals totally forever before she does this to any others.

Too numb to say anything......She is trash and there is no other way to decribe it. I agree with the one who said chain her to a fence and leave her there to suffer and die. Michael Vic was more humane than her. If donations are needed please let me know or if I can do anything let me know. I live in upstate NY. |

This is absolutely horrific and tragic. I am so sorry for these dogs. To have meant so little to her... and to come to such a pathetic end for absolutely no reason other than pure neglect and selfishness. Please let me know if there is anything I can do.

This just makes me sick unfortunately nothing will be done by the courts just a small fine I see this all the time with our animal shelter the laws are not tough enough on animal cruelty !!! I am not a man that would ever strike a woman but this is no woman she is a beast and should suffer the way those poor dogs did. As for those people who have had knowledge of the way she treated her dogs shame on YOU ! I hope now people will not stand for this kind of behavior from anyone if you see this kind of shit you will speak up no matter what !! Let this be a lesson to us all. Please find this bitch so the remaining dogs have a chance !!

Lana??? The mother to her beloved JC? I cant take much more. I new her heart was fading by the way she was breading that is the only reason I moved with her. She had a passion long ago and could put a pedigree together like not many breeders I found at the time I started. And to end like this you have got to be kidding me.... I know there are more stories out there. I heard them once I got free from her. I encourage those stories to find the light. This woman needs to be put away for as long as possible. The abuse her X in Florida got before she moved to NC. That whole Tenn event was not good and I thank god every day I was able to escaped. I took as many dogs as I could when i left, Angie has one of the puppies Tiny I rescued. It was her dad that died a horrible death. Poor Dakota that bitch lived in a dog crate only out to poop and pee 2 times a day. It makes me sick, Lana gave that woman how many dogs, and her beloved black gene.I will never forget the poor pug and her babies she just let die and toss them in the trash. This woman really is sick, and needs much psychiatric help. Poor Raven was breed at 8 years old, bet she is still alive. Sorry I am just so angry this is so personal to me, I cared for these dogs, Amisha and I spent money, and hours building houses and shelters for these dogs, cleaning and watering these dogs, breeding in a non barbaric way. I remember times both of us the tears were so hard to hold back. My question is how do we get the dogs she has with her while she is on the run??? Some one needs to contact AKC as well.

I can't raise Kazia...actually I have her cellphone number...will try to ring her now...I KNOW how some of you may rightfully so have divided feelings about this terrible tragedy...please do NOT judge too harshly... people walk different walks...
I acted straight away...but hey, have I copped absolute sh```t most of my doggie life!...and I am strong, old & ugly enough to take it! I CANNOT excuse Gloria...I have correspondense from her stating how much in love she is...so we are not dealing with a poor, little, helpless, depressed, downtrodden waif..'.love make the world go round'...so get your new love to HELP with tending to your dogs! Extra pair of hands make it easier.
A woman called Vannessa told me that Gloria was wanted by some other State authoroties for neglect & cruelty hence she shifted States...when I confronted Gloria, she laughed and said Vannessa was lying...some of you may know more.

I am so sorry I didnt know Max had died also. This just makes me sick! My heart goes out to JoAnn also as she was Max's breeder. I remember the day Max finished his championship. What as sad way for all these dogs to die. So Gloria is suppose to be back in FLorida..

Not everyone should be breeding Mastiffs, yet anyone can!
Screening breeders is very important and inspection of facilities can give rise to many red flags.
There is no foolproof method in determining who is worthy to own, or breed Mastiffs, but we certainly need to do more screening in the future, even screening those who have been breeding for a number of years.
Typically, where there is smoke there's fire and if we get downwind of neglectful doings, even through rumor, it needs to be researched & investigated further, in order to avoid such issues in the future.
If any good is to come of this and Degerdon's debacle, then more scrutiny is needed in the future before potential villains can do their deed!

That is what I heard she was wanted in a few states for animal cruelty. I was told this. I can not prove it but It was said to me when I left. I was lying ? I had nothing to do with her back when she was fleeing the states. I do know this from when I left Tenn that was about 3 weeks after you went home, she lived in KY, Texas,back to KY, now SC, now left there I want to say she also was in Georgia I think. It has to make you wonder. I have heard she has been physical with her X . It is hard for me because I was told these stories I really do not know what is true and what is not but I can say after seeing her actions I do believe them from personal experience. Amisha does she have any of your dogs? Are you needing some of us to get them back, I know she was supposed to get semen from you.

I think much of the problem is that everyone is so afraid of being called a "breeder basher" that people don't keep screaming from the roof tops when it needs to be screamed. Maybe there's a horrible lesson in this. Like Steve said, where there's smoke...

OMG - I just checked back in and see the horrible truth coming out. I can't even imagine the anguish that everyone is feeling now and that these noble animals must have felt at her hands. When she's tracked down in Florida I hope justice is served in their memory by whatever means appropriate. I think a lot of ugly information will still come out. Unfortunately, there are people out there who thrive on drama of any kind, especially when they can be involved and make themselves look good. There is enough horrible info here...no need for anyone to make up stories so they can be in the spotlight.
The pictures are just heartbreaking. It's sickening that people would rather let an animal starve to death than admit they need help. What a horrible way to die.

Vannessa, having seen what I saw when we were there in TN under NO circumstances would I have ever sold / given Gloria a puppy! So thank God that's NOT an issue. I saw her nearly killing your boy trying to separate them in the fight with a shovel...Sure, she was marvellous stepping in to help...but the degree of violence was horrific. I also saw her nearly hitting you! I am certain, if I were not there, there would have been a different outcome. A cruel, violent woman who has been hurt by life with cunning innate intuition excellent at DIVIDING people and when she was good she was VERY good with her dogs. I cannot fathom her absolute neglect, esp if she is in a
' happy spot'! She flew over to look after my dogs when I had my knee surgery...she was EXCELLENT with them...wanted badly to come over to immigrate.... I feared something untoward...

I am so sorry, Linda....and for all of those dogs that suffered.......my heart is breaking. BUT....on top of the scumbag Gloria the puppymiller, there is also someone else who should be looked into. and that is Kazia. Just google the name Kaziaa Martz and see what comes up....and supposedly that is her mother with Great Danes. Bad unscrupulous breeding practices taught at momma's knee? I knew of Kazia when she ended up taking Sue's pick puppy, promising to show her and give her a good home. Belize died at one year old and never a believable explanation why. Then Kaziaa is dying, then she's off breeding, then she's dying, then she's breeding, etc etc etc. And all the while she's sucking the life and monies off of people that believed her and felt sorry for her. And I am talking about money in excess of 30k.....so do I believe the "poor Kazia" story? Absolutely not! And if Gloria was gone as long as they say, why wouldn't Kazia, a supposed mastiff-lover, stand up for what is right? THE MASTIFFS! Puppies have starved to death too, was Kazia starving? Beware Kazia as well as Gloria. The Florida case 4 yrs ago was bad enough, this is horrendous! Just remember, Kazia is not innocent in this deal either.

Very well said. Not that it matters at this point, but I tried to find out everything I could about Gloria on the internet and by sending people private messages before I went to Tennessee to get Truman. All I ever heard was she is very reputable. I read everything she posted on this board from several years back and don't recall every reading anybody questioning her breeding practices. It doesn't matter and I feel both happy and sad. Happy because I have one of the puppies who surely would have had the same fate as the others since he wasn't a show/breeding prospect. Sad because the money I spent to buy him probably helped contribute to her practice of trying to make money off her dogs. I truley hope the ones that can be saved are and that she is held accountable.

My heart goes out to everyone who has lost one of their babies to Gloria and to Kazia. I'm hoping that both are prosecuted. Kazia has been ill for over 5 years that I know of. I use to send her dog food, frontline, wormer because she had one of my babies. Then I was sucked in to pay all her bills so she could try to get back on track. Then I got a horrible phone call telling me that my little girl that was in Kazia's care had died suddenly. I don't have any sympathy for Kazia, I don't care if she was threatened. What kind of a person feeds herself and watches beautiful animals starve and leaves them where they lay? I'm sorry Kazia every touched my life and I'm even more sorry that she touched the lives of these beautiful creatures that looked to her and Gloria for care.

But what i dont understand ,is Jannie if you were there or you others that knew this .
Why the hell didnt you all call the dog warden and turn Her in ???
And maybe that would have saved the dogs .God this is truly disgusting .
we have all heard stories about when she lived in Flordia ,And left that Girl friend with all the Dogs ,And i had heard what bad conditions Her Fawn Boy at Bucks , Lived in .
Geeze you seen this ,and you let it go on???????????? And you knew the Dogs were in Bad shape??????????????????

omg!! i am speachless!! i cant even begin to start on what i would say to that woman!! give them away if you cant or wont care for them!!!!!!!!!
i hope she goes to jail for a long time and someone forgets to feed and shelter her!!!

I have known Gloria for many many years, and I have to agree with Lorie, TRASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TRASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nothing but TRASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would not breed to her not sell her a toe nail! I can tell you some stories form Lake Wales and make your hair stand, when she was down here! I don't know what to say other then what a shame for those poor dogs! Gloria you are going straight to Hell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If I had to guess, she has a son here in Florida Adam, an ex hubby in the pan handle and an ex-lover in Lake Wales. I bet she is back down in Wake Wales if I had to guess! If I can be of any help please let me know! My heart goes out to all the owners, all I can say I am deeply very sorry. I got to see the 2 pictures Linda put up on her board, and I am sick! What animal would do that? All I can think is what those poor dogs went through! I am sorry for all this!
