We do not breed often, but we do our best to breed top quality mastiffs
with excellent pedigrees to back them up. All breedings are carefully planned to produce
the very best mastiffs, sound in both body and mind, beautiful and strong,
representing the true mastiff standard.
We fully test our dogs. We believe that a person that "just wants a pet" has a right
to own a beautiful, well bred dog that is sound and healthy
every bit as much as someone wanting a "show dog". |

My name is Angela, the proud 'mom' of Zeus. I have a computer background, and I do research for my clients, including training, nutrition and herbal supplement study to help our companion animals. Caring for my dearly departed Apollo for the past 3.5 years was quite an experience and the knowledge I amassed I share with others to help their liver compromised dogs. I am a gourd artist, doing mostly pyrography, and ink and craving art work. I am an avid dog lover, and have three other rescued dogs here with me and Zeus. I am happy to be part of a community that shares information and opinions, welcomes newcomers with open arms, and does so with humor and grace. I am here to share the experiences I (will) have with my wonderful mastiff puppy Zeus, and to learn from others experiences to help him (and me) have a wonderful life together. I have a strong desire to learn how these wonderful dogs are handled in the ring, and how on earth I can train myself to get up early again! LOL I am not 'new' to big dogs, or training, but I am new to the 'show' experience, and know little if anything about it. Of course I LOVE to watch the dog shows, and would LOVE to see Greesons Tall Dark n Handsome out there making me (and Linda) proud! Thank you Linda for this opportunity! I have so much to learn, and can see that this is a very good place to do so! Angela and Zeus and Kenne Attached Images:

Good morning! I have been on this board for, I think, a year. But, have been really quiet and never presented myself so, here I go! My name is Annie, I am a 27 years old professional. I live on a 4000trees (apples, plums, pears) orchard in St-Joseph-du-Lac in Quebec, Canada & we own another orchard on which we plan to built our Mastiff Estate soon! I own big dogs since I am a child & always dreamed of having my Mastiff. I've always been involved in dogs sports and now, I have my two Mastiffs, Maddox (18months old apricot) & Lily (13 months old fawn). All my time out of the office is spent with them (or for them, studying pedigrees, etc) and so is all my money! :/ We are showing a lot in Canada & United States and are planning to have our very first litter when the Championships are attained & the health tests all passed. I am a fervent believer in positive reinforcement training, new vaccines protocols, natural feeding, etc, etc! Hoping to talk with all of you soon! Annie

Hi, my name is Heather. I am 25 years old. I live on a hundred acre farm in Kentucky. My job is taking care of the kids. That includes the human ones as well as the horses, dogs, chickens, fish and the tarantula. If you can imagine they are all very rotten, even the spider. I have read some of the threads available and I think you all are wonderful people. I am looking forward to learning more about you all, and sharing of myself. I just have one question though. My love is the Bullmastiff, does that count on this thread site? If not, please let me know so I don't find out much later down the line and feel like an idiot. But anyhow. Out of my 3 dogs I don't have my bully yet. I have an old dog who has been the center of my life and I don't want to put him at risk of another attack. When my husband brought our Akita home she put him through enough for 5 lifetimes. But Akita's are definitely more crazy aggressive than the bullmastiff. Thank you for taking the time to read and respond to this. May you all have a great doggie day! Heather P.S. I have included my 3 puppies. The brindle is Grizzly, he took time out of his busy schedule to save my life. I owe him everything I have. Attached Images:

Heather - you are always welcome here! Thank you for introducing yourself and introducing us to your gang. We are all hoping you decide on a mastiff instead of a bull mastiff - very different temperament! __________________ Linda Greeson Rice

Hi, my name is Teresa and I just joined the site today. My husband and I are the owners (well maybe they own us!) of 3 Mastiffs, a Boxer mix and 1 cat. Our Mastiffs are Jaclyn, 2 year old fluffy spayed female, Buster, 14 month old brindle male and Jo-Jo Starr, our fawn 5 month old. My boxer mix is 6 1/2 year old Duke and Roscoe is the cat. We started showing Buster last Memorial Day. We will be showing Jo-Jo in March. My plan is to breed these wonderful dogs after I retire in a little over 3 years and after I research and learn and learn and learn. Our dogs are pets and companions first and show dogs second. They are allowed to go play in the yard and get dirty and just be dogs. They are our children. I'm hoping this site will be a great experience. |

Hi, my name is Sharon and I just recently joined this board, although I have been reading it for some time. I live in the boonies of NE Iowa with all my babies (four legged). I have always loved Mastiffs but could never come to pay that much for a dog..LOL I started out by raising Rottweilers (next step down from a Mastiff). After a couple litters of Rott puppies I TOLD my husband that I was going to get me a Mastiff.... and found myself wanting to start showing since I have always shown horses. My mastiff and show quest brought me to find my baby girl now my first Champion owner handled and my first Mastiff mommy. Jersey & Lard-O had an 8 pack of puppies on Jan 9. They are absolutely amazing and fun to watch grow. I have met some of the most wonderful people in the "Mastiff world" and know I will meet more. Thanks for letting me share. Hello, my name is Shana and we are in Arizona. I have been reading the posts here for a while, but this will be my first posting! I am owned by a 4 year old neutered, fawn male Mastiff who was a rescue foster that never left, his name is Shaq and he is the leader of the pack and my right hand man! I am also owned by a 12 month old, neutered, brindle male Mastiff named Oso, we got Oso from Gothic Mastiffs here in AZ and he is the most wonderful puppy on earth!! Last year at 7 months old he earned his CGC and at 9 months old completed his RN title. He is the light of my life and is such a healthy, spunky happy puppy, who could ask for more? We are also owned by a long haired Chihuahua named Jackie Brown, she is a spayed, retired Champion who never really lost the attitude! As well as a spayed, female Standard Poodle who was a foster who never left because she is a bit wacko and no one one earth but us would put up with her, but we love her and cant imagine the house without her! We are also owned by a female Newfoundland Beezle, another displaced dog who stayed on after a few failed attepts at placement because she just plain won't house break (we have a dog door here, so it works, plus what's one more big dog anyway??), who is a happy, licking, bear of a dog who adores kids more then words can say and makes me smile every time I look down into her big wookie face and happy brown eyes! And last but not least, our wonderful cat, the token feline! I tried to attach pictures showing them all, I think we have at least one pic of everyone! We are very involved with Mastiff and Great Dane rescue, rescue all around really and that takes up most of our time, but we also really enjoy showing and competitive obedience and try to stay involved and up to speed in that arena too. We just love the breed and we will always be owned by mastiffs! I really enjoy this forum and have learned a lot by reading the posts on various topics, keep up the good work and thanks for starting this thread! Attached Images:

Hello, my name is Brandi and I'm just venturing into the captivating (and addicting!) world of Mastiffs. After looking for a little over 1 year, we put a deposit down and am SO excited that the puppies have arrived! We'll be getting a boy from Creekside Mastiffs (Ch. Spring Hollow Gadzooks and Creekside's Twist N Shout) in 8 weeks and couldn't be happier. I am a 13yr Vet. Tech turned stay-at-home mom, sharing our home with my sweet 9yo Rottie boy. I am hoping to learn as much as I can from all of the people here. Thanks to the host of the site for the opportunity to watch and learn!!

Hi, my name is Dave but I go by Zee. I'm on here to find out about the breed before I venture into it. I've been reading about the appropriate clearances involved (OFA and CERF) and am looking to find out how I get the right pet or possible show pup (co-owned or not, whatever is appropriate) down the road. I want to try to attend shows in the near future. Nice to meet all of you and I'm looking forward to doing a lot of reading on here Good luck with your Mastiff's! Hey I am Lindsey, and I am from WV. Although I am not so new to the mastiff world, I am attempting to break into the mastiff show world. I have owned mastiffs for about 8 years, and I guess you can say I'm addicted to them, and I live think and beathe mastiff! I have put in a picture of my baby, Gracie, she is 15 months old and I am working with her on getting her certified as a therapy dog, as well as participating in a CGC class. I am also getting a new puppy SOON...from Shamill Mastiffs, his litter is nominated for futurity, and I believe I am going to keep his litter name, Crisco...and he is going to be a doll baby...more pictures to come at his homecoming!! Thanks so much Sharon Miller for allowing me the opportunity to own such a beautiful mastiff!! Attached Images:

Hi, my name is Sarah and I am currently owned by two Mastiffs and one Newfoundland. Hank is my 7 year old fawn Mastiff and Jazzy is a one-year old fawn Mastiff. Benjamin, our Newfie is three.
I've been a Mastiff lover for years and am currently searching for a brindle male puppy. I was to get a puppy from Eva Gordon's most recent Mighty Joe litter, but complications arose and there isn't a puppy available. I've been watching the conversations on this site and find that, for the most part, people are kind and willing to provide information. When searching for a Mastiff puppy, I find it is important to find a reputable breeder - one that loves the breed and enjoys sharing information. Believe it or not, it is tough to determine which breeder to purchase from. I'm hoping to learn more about the breed and the breeders - and hopefully, find the perfect brindle boy to add to our family.
I'll post pics of my guys (and gal) when I figure out how to cut-n-paste.
Sarah

Hi all. I am new to this particular board, but as I see quite a number of familiar names from other boards, I may not be so new to all of you.
I have read some different threads on this board and that's why I joined it too. I like to be "well-rounded" and each board, group, forum, etc. has something unique to offer.
I am Terri and I am ruled by 4 Mastiffs, 3 of which I show. I am hoping to breed my bitch sometime in the future, but as of this time, all 3 of the dogs I show have been purchases. Although my bitch is definitely of quality to breed, I haven't decided if I am breeder potential. We'll see.
For now, since she's only 14 months old, I will continue to show her in breed and have fun with her; as well as my 2 boys whom I hope to eventually be able to enter in breed!!! |

Hi! my name is Amy and I do not have a mastiff as of yet..we are trying to find a good breeder in the state of Ga who will have puppies who are ready to go in a couple of months... my intentions with this baby would be to show him a few times and maybe stud him out once or twice to "mellow" him out before altering him and keeping him as our family pet!! If anyone knows a great breeder I would love the info!! |

I am Connie and I have a beautiful 4 year old Mastiff. His name is Maxwell Sebastian. He is silver with a black mask. I fell in love the minute I saw his picture. His birth parents named him Silver after the Lone Ranger because of his color. He has grown and grown and well you know. He now weighs 227 lbs. I had to take him to the Big animal vet to weigh him. I think he is beautiful. I hope you think so as well. The first pic is when he was 1 1/2 and the other was when he was 3. He is my baby and his job is to sleep bedside my bed and snore me to sleep! What a life... Attached Images:

Hello! My name is Robin, and I will be a mastiff owner in 2 weeks! or rather a mastiff housemate. I already have a yellow Lab and 2 Cavalier King Charles Spaniels that rule the house, now my kids say I've just "Supersized" my life. I'm wondering if this is my midlife crisis and I just don't realize it. I am the proud Mom of 3 great kids (20, 23 and 24) and a new grandmother of the most beautiful little girl ever! I guess you can say I'm semi-retired, since I just went part time at my job so I can care for my granddaughter, so that my daughter could return to her job. My husband is a great guy, he tolerates me, so he must be. And he loves the dogs, so I guess he can stay. We went to visit the mastiff pups, and the adults also, oh, and the humans that lived there, and my husband was rendered speechless. You see, he has never seen a full grown mastiff up close and personal. Wish i was quicker with the camera! He was duly impressed, He hasn't stopped talking about it yet. So here i sit, shopping online for puppy stuff, found this forum, and stopped to say hello! And thanks! I have found lots of useful information already!
Have a great day
Robin |

Hi everyone! My name is Hansu and I'm from Finland. I breed mastiffs (at least I try to...) allthough I've had only one litter so far. I had a litter in plans for this summer, but unfortunately my bitch was empty. I have only one mastiff at home this moment; 6 years old male. I'm searching a good male puppy from somewhere in Europe, but haven't found one yet. I'm also waiting for a frenchie to arrive in July. My dogs are show quality and our male Otto is also a therapy dog. Please visit our site: http://www.roughtails.com

Hi, my name is Lisa. I am the excited owner to-be of a mastiff pup from Deborah's recent SampsonxBounty litter. I am a veterinarian here in Austin, TX and currently just have one pet, a cat named Barry White. We lost our Rottie last summer to osteosarcoma. We also have three boys -- 9 years, 16 mos, and 10 wks! I am happy to answer vet questions (if I can ) -- and am looking forward to learning lots from all of you with your years of experience owning and breeding these beautiful dogs! __________________ Lisa Okonsky DVM |

Good afternoon all. My husband and I have had mastiffs for around 9 years now and have been showing for 6. We are located in Sealy, Tx, where we also raise Clydesdales on our farm.
We currently have 6 mastiffs in house. 3 adults, 3 pups(from our 2nd litter born in Dec. 06). Our first Ch. is Caledonia's Counselor Troi, CGC, TDI. She came to us from Mike Reid/Susie Farber and I finished her owner-handled with 3 major and we had a blast. Deanna's father is none other than Deborah Pallone's Erieside's Mo Betta. We love the breed and take great pride in our gentle giants.
I was very happy to meet many folks at the recent Nat'l Specialty in Houston in addition to chatting with some old friends.
Thank you for allowing me to join this great site and learn from others,

Hello my name is Ginger Lee, I have shown and raised dachshunds for about 10 years. I have made a big choice to get out of the dachshunds because my mother has cancer. Because I love showing so very much I have decided to buy a Mastiff female to show. I already have a Mastiff male and a Great Dane male that is neutered and of course I'm keeping my very first dachshund that was a gift from my wonderful Husband for my Birthday and Wedding gift. I have looked and looked for a Mastiff puppy and waited and waited for the right one and I found her in WA. She is out of the Waay Moe Betta lines and she is 9 weeks old and already 30 lbs. She is a Fawn and we just love her and she is fitting right in with her new family. I love to learn new things so hopefully some of you would not mind teaching me some things I will need to know about Mastiff's and showing them. I live in northwest Florida (Pensacola) and I'm a Animal Control Officer, Thanks so very much for letting me join this wonderful group. Ginger Lee __________________ Ginger C. Lee |

Hey Lisa,
I would love to get together. I don't know if you plan on showing, by I'm going to be taking my puppy (she turned 2 on valentines) to the Int show in Hutto at the end of the month. Its not like AKC in that you are there most of the day, but it can be fun. There are also usually a few mastiff people there.
What color/sex is the puppy that you are getting?

I would love to go! I'll have to see how my schedule pans out -- we are losing a vet at work -- she is moving back to NC. And I have a 16 mos old and 10 wk old boys at home... so it's busy. But hopefully I will be able to make time to go! In fact, maybe I'll bring the whole crew! The pup is a fawn boy. We are very excited here! Funny it seems we are putting as much time into figuring out his name as we did with my two two-legged babies! __________________ Lisa Okonsky DVM |

Thanks, she is out of Linda's Stud Waay Mo. Yes the other mastiff looks to be a little hairy. He thinks he is a dog. I rescued him from the Animal Shelter where I work at, they were going to put him to sleep because he was sick and I said NO WAY I will take him to the vet.

Hello to everyone. I live in Ocean City, Maryland and have a 10 week old English Mastiff girl. I am nervous, trying so hard to do the right thing in every way! In the past, we've had Fila Brasileiros but read about the temperament of the English and thought it might be a better choice for us. If anyone has any general "words of wisdom" we would love to hear them! We do not live on a large piece of property as many of you do, but are hoping to provide our baby with many great walks on the beach, boardwalk & by the bay. Our only problem at the present time is getting her to be happy walking on a leash. We waited too long to introduce it, I think! My husband is annoyed every time someone asks him, "Is that a Puggle?" - it's happened quite a bit! No photos yet, but hopefully soon. |

Hello all, My family and I live in sunny Oklahoma. I have been eavesdropping on you all for nearly a year so I though it was time to join in. We have 11 kids (6 two legged and 5 four legged hairy ones) all of which are spoiled. We live on an acreage so everyone has plenty of room. I have been bitten by the show bug and am loving every min. I am looking forward to picking your brains for all the ins and outs of the show world. Talk to you soon... |

Hi! My name is Sue and I am the new owner of a badly taken care of puppy I named Teddy Bear. He is somewhere between the age of now 7 to 11 weeks of age. He is getting healthier and growing every day now, and a real joy! We live in Central Florida. I am disabled, so spend all my time at home. I also have 4 kids still at home (out of 6), 4 monkies (3 capuchin & 1 squirrel monkey) and 2 skunks, all living in the house as well. Looking forward to learning a lot here in this forum! Thank you for having me. SueD __________________ SueD |

Hi Everyone, my name is Kim. I have two mastiffs. One is 14 months one is 2 1/2 months. My husband has always wanted a mastiff since he was a child and has been trying to talk me into it for 20 years. The only thing I can say about that is I'm sorry I waited so long. We have two kids, one in college and one in his last year of high school. I'm really enjoying learning everything I can about this beautiful breed. Doing research all those years cant compare to living with one of these guys. Looking forward to looking around here and learning. Thanks- Kim __________________ Kim,

Hey Gang, My wife and I are student Pastors(for the last 15 years) at the Fyffe Church of God in Northeast Alabama. Our student ministry has over 200 teenagers in weekly attendance. Our Mastiff (Razza) is a wonderful girl who is fawn in color and absolutely a dream. We have always had labs but have always been intrigued by the majesty of the Mastiff. We are very excited about having her in our house. She is very sensitive, more so than any of the labs I have ever owned. We are looking forward to this adventure of raising this wonderful dog. Also, we are glad to have found a site with others who can give advice on certain aspects of raising this breed. Have a great day!

Hello All, I guess I could've done this a little earlier, but better late than never! My name is Cammie and I live in Reno, Nevada. My grandparents adopted me at 6weeks old and raised me between Incline Village (Lake Tahoe N. Shore) and Reno. I'm owned by my Mastiff bitch (Laine), a yellow lab (Jules), one pesky cat and two furry rabbits, last but not least my daughters Allison (8yrs.) and Emily (6yrs.). I love snoboarding and try to spend as much time as possible on the mountains, my FAVE being Sugarbowl near Truckee, CA and (of course) Mammoth! Here's to having a great, sno filled winter since the last two have been pathetic here and I have a brand new set-up gathering dust . My aunt and uncle helped raise me and instilled my love for horses. They bred Quarter horses in Yerington, NV while I was growing up. I don't have any horses right now because I'm tired of boarding and not being able to find someone who will follow my instructions. My last horse was a 1/2 Quarter 1/2 Arabian or Quarab, we used to guide trail rides in the desert for the Navel Air Base guys! Had to give that up, but it was the best job for a single young woman, everyday was my birthday hehe. Since I no longer have horses, learning as much as I can on this forum and the internet has become my hobby, one I've been looking forward to for a while!
Thanks to EVERYONE here for your help, time spent on educating and assisting folks and most of all the willingness to help me learn and answer my sometimes silly questions!

Hi Hope I put this in the right place, not very good on forums.
I have been a lurker here for some time and thought it about time I joined. I am from the UK we had our first mastiff in 1970 and now we are rather older and doddery we still have 3, Ch Bulliff Dom B Erk and his sister Eta, along with 4 mini dax two wire and two longs. We have only shown the mastiffs. We also have ducks and hens and 2, 15 year old sheep! Some of you will have met us on visits to UK my husband judged in USA some years ago. I have been asked twice and on the first occasions I had to cancel due to major heart surgery, I was asked to do Somerset again this year, it was with much regret I had to decline, how I would have loved to have done it. I have judged in NZ and Australia as well as in Europe. I am a keen photographer and love my computer, I do ti chi twice a week
