So! Our boys (born may 31st) turn 8 weeks on Thursday! So it's time for more picstures!
Brim seems to be bigger that his brother in weight&paw size. He also looks more mastiff than his brother does. He loves to cuddle and eat!
Buddy, resembles one of his mothers parents as he looks more great dane than mastiff to us. Being slightly smaller than his brother weight wise that doesn't stop him from tackling his brother into the dirt!
They both went for a swim with me yesterday, well I sat in the shallow water with them and they climbed up onto my shoulders to avoid the water. But it's a step in the general direction!

So what do you think?!

They're precious and both look pretty Mastiff-y to me, the fawn maybe a little more so. Remind me; are both from the same litter?

Yup! They are litter mates. They are a total cross of: Neapolitan MastiffX English MastiffX Bull MastiffX Great Dane
Dad was a pure bred english mastiff, mom was a Neapolitan MastiffX English MastiffX Bull MastiffX Great Dane
Now looking at Buddys pictures he reminds me a bit of an english mastiff. Which would make sense.

Your puppies are very cute. It looks like you're taking great care of them.

Thanks! They're still getting used to our cats. One hates them the other could care less. They tend to bark at the cats some times. They discovered the cat door yesterday!! Brim tried to go through it and got stuck!

Ya probably! Today Tweeter (one of our cats) found a pee spot on the hard wood and tried to bury it for the puppy. No idea who the criminal was

We plan on clicker&positive training them. I'm a fan of clicker training but my dads not so knowledgeable about it. I plan to start them on ''basic basic'' training tomorrow like sit or more importantly re-calls. Any tips on how to start this? I know it should be fun but....
They also turn 8 weeks tomorrow! Time flys so fast!

Good for you to train your pups positively ! There are a lot of clicker training resources out there, plenty of videos on youtube showing you how to teach sit and down and come using the clicker - just remember wtht the clicker and with puppies that they get tired fast, andyou need to make learning fun fun fun or they will quit on you. Also you should teach the pups separately, so each has his own time working just with you. I would suggest you start off 1) teaching the puppies their names - say their name, when they look at you, click and treat - keep doing this until they can be doing something else and when you say their name they stop and look at you...now you have a dog that knows it's name and knows that looking at you when it hears its name means good things happen 2) "shape" the sit - hang out with one pup, and a whole pile of treats - if the pup is not doing much, toss a treat away on to the floor to get him up and moving. Eventually, when he does sit - click and treat, then toss the treat away so he gets up again - he'll be sitting for the click and treat in no time ! Mostly, be sure you have Fun with your pups and they FUN learning! Also if you can, get them both into a good puppy class, perhaps your Dad can handle one and you take the other - this is a great time to have the puppies meet other dogs and people and learn new stuff in a new place - some great trainers can be found here:

No, they were not rescues. Thanks! Buddy fell into the creek yesterday:| Poor guy. We were on the dock and he tried to go around the baracade, he fell in,paniced a bit and I ended up fishing him out of the creek. Poor fella then later he fell off the gang-plank. The Gang-plank is missing a board they've jumped it alot but for some reason he tried to walk on that spot this time and fell into the creek AGAIN. Poor fella's had a hard time!
