I've been sick as hell since Saturday with a GI thing. I've never had anything like it. I lost 10+ lbs and feel absolutely horrible.
When I'm not in bed or in the bathroom, I've been lying in the den which is in the back of the house.
Every time the front door opens, Teddy runs like heck to me, eclipses my body with his body and stares stiffly into the opening to the den. It's very sweet. He is watching over me because he knows I'm not right.

sounds like what I had about a month ago. I had to call the doctor. Your doctor will give you some prescriptions over the phone. It's not fun.
Teddy loves you My dogs always watch over me when I am sick. They
just know somethings not right.

Oh Poor Herb...I hope you will get better soon and your "nurse" is being on watch is a good thing.
I remember when I had one of my leg surgeries, the Mastiffs never left my side. I had a bone infection and the Doctor didn't want any of the dogs near me...had a hell of a time getting them out of the way...it was just their way of watching over me...
I'll pray for a speedy recovery for you hon..

Poor Herb - I hope this passes soon ... please keep hydrated. So important.

I'm so sorry you're suffering some wretched GI bug. Feel better soon. And you shouldn't be surprised at Teddy. We all know you're "not right".

Herb - so sorry you're not feeling well. We missed you last night at Puppy Kindergarten. Tell Teddy he's a very good babysitter...and to bring you some tea and toast - like Nana in Peter Pan!

Herb - I don't think you have 10 lbs to spare. Please don't lose any more weight and please get better soon! Teddy is awesome - you can just tell. Joey lays on me when I'm not feeling well so I can comfort him in his time of need.
I was wondering where you've been - no recent pics or anything! Get better soon!

Good well and don't go too long before you see a doctor. I did the same thing during the specialty. Literally, no fluids for 4 days. By day five, my pee was brown. Theoretically, I should have been hospitalized but it would have been a problem with what to do with the 4 dogs I had with me! THANK GOD I was able to keep dilute Gatorade down on day 5 and that Misty and Amanda took care of me until I felt better. Try the DILUTE Gatorade or Pedialyte first. Take it slow until that stays put. Then clear liquids...Just take care and get well soon!

I went to work yesterday and I'm at work today.
