This forum has become an indispensible resource for me. I have been fortunate to speak with quite a few of the members, breeders and fanciers. I have enjoyed my conversations with everyone, and look forward to my next with each of them.

One member in particular really challenges me, he is someone who is almost humbling to speak with and always warns me if a question is loaded. We will talk for an hour, then I am searching this forum for 4-6 hrs…. I love it

I agree.  I'm learning so much here.

But, I think the thing that really stands out, to me, is that even when members disagree, most of the time, its really civil and people feel comfortable saying what's on their mind whether it's favored or not.

That is the spirit to which this Forum was started - being able to be honest  without fearing being removed.

We do not breed often, but we do our best to breed top quality mastiffs
with excellent pedigrees to back them up. All breedings are carefully planned to produce
the very best mastiffs, sound in both body and mind, beautiful and strong,
representing the true mastiff standard.

We fully test our dogs. We believe that a person that "just wants a pet" has a right
to own a beautiful, well bred dog that is sound and healthy
every bit as much as someone wanting a "show dog".

Dave,

I have learned so much and made so many friends on here.  I remember when I first got Teddy and lurked on several boards.  What drew me to this one was all of the smart people.  We have lots of them on here.

I enjoy the knowledge that is shared.  I am always learning historical information that I would never seek out on my own.  Like with any group, times will get heated and I elect not to read long banter back and forth - I do like to know that the thread will not be locked out because in the end everyone will agree to disagree.

Thanks to everyone that post pics: the good, bad and super gross. They indicate what a caring group of people that visit the fourm.

So as we give around of applause for Linda for starting the forum, we should also give one to ourselves. We are only a small group of people in a large canine community, but we represent ourselves well.

I wish more members would "come out" and say hello ...this is a wonderful, educational and sometimes controversial place to play.
I no longer have a Mastiff but I am comforted by all the Mastiff chat on here and plan on staying for the duration...thanks to Linda for the hard work and planning...
hugs to all and beasties too!

If you are entering a new thread or replying in advanced mode ( not the quick reply) the spell check is available.. always has been.

I am sorry but I can not put the edit button back.. wish I could but it is just not legally possible at this point.
