my hubby is being shipped off to darby, england on friday.  he's going to be there till tuesday working.  But he is interested to possibly visit any mastiff breeders while there.

i was just wondering if any of you mastiff people knew anyone in or around darby/manchester area of england.

thanks,

Try the kennel club website (you can also identify Accredited Breeders)

ella,

i sent these people an email and it bounced back.  he's actually going to be in that town.  he's got their info and will call but, i was thinking it would be a good idea for me to shoot them an email giving them a heads up about him calling.

what do you think he should do?  just call when arriving?  he is so very excited about the possiblity of seeing some mastiffs over there.  how cool is that?

i get to go to a dog show, and he's going to england.  jerk.

I would just give a call.  Simon travels a lot these days with a new job but Teresa should be about.  They are very nice folks.
I will try an e-mail and see if I have results w/ a link to this thread.

Just tried & got a kick-back as well.
I know it has been a little bit since we communicated and he indicated they were changing services & it was not going well.
I know birdman from the forum also has a full litter brother so you may want to see if he has anything new in the way of communication tools.

well, i'm dropping him off at the airport in about 35 minutes.  so it'll have to wait till i get home.

birdman?  i take it that is his "post name"....i don't remember seeing that name.  Maybe he'll chime in here to help out.

Kurt is going to give these people a call when he gets there tomorrow morning.  He is very excited about the possibility of meeting some english dogs.  Says that would be the highlight of his trip.  i know it would be mine.

thanks so much for turning me on to this information.

he's taking my camera, so maybe i can post some pics if he actually makes contact.

HE IS THERE RIGHT NOW!!!  this is the highlight of his trip.  He was just about screaming when he called to tell me he finally got thru.  What nice people to, the offered to come to his hotel to pick him up.  Refused to allow him to take a cab over.

i'm so very excited for him.  He has my nice camera and i told him to make sure it was fully charged.  I know he'll take lots and lots of pictures.

i'm jealous too, but i know he's going to have a great time.

thanks so much for hooking him up.

well, i talked to him after he got back to his hotel.  He had such a WONDERFUL time.  The Andrews were so very nice to him.  He saw all the dogs and just couldn't stop talking about how awesome it was.

It was definitely the highlight of his trip.   We share alot of the same traits in our breeding practices and even club participation activities.  I am really jealous.  He told me it was like talking to a british version of myself.  He didn't realize how much he missed the girls either till he saw their dogs.  He definitely got his mastiff fix for sure.  They were big is what he said.  Pretty large sized.

I know i always miss my crew when i'm away w/out them...  They just make any day so much brighter.

he will arrive back in Texas on wednesday evening.  i will download pics asap.

Thank you all for helping make this possible.  It means alot to me that he was able to meet a breeder while there.

Looks like from the time on your post there were at the Simons's circa 10pm.
Hopefully he had a flash or there was much lighting

he was inside the whole time.  Simon and his daughter brought each dog inside for him to see.  Kurt said he was there a total of 3.5 hrs.

Yes, i'm sure he figured out my camera.  He had been in some cathedrals and the underground areas where people pray to the saints (he said)  that is exactly why i gave him my camera to take instead of my daughters.

i'm so excited to see the pictures to.
