The World Mastiff Forum is taking a stand
on the breeding of healthy, sound mastiffs. I believe that testing is part of being a responsible breeder.
If you do not care enough about the Mastiff breed
to test your bitch and the stud dog (or require testing)
- hips, elbows, eyes (PRA), cardiac and cystinuria at a minimum -
then please do not ask the World Mastiff Forum
to provide a listing service for you. If you have a litter announcement or an upcoming breeding to announce,
please post your testing information along with your announcement.
Minimum testing must be done and proof required for both parents. Minimum testing is: 1 - Hip and Elbow - Either OFA, PennHip, or other acceptable form of proof of testing from countries outside the USA. 2 - Eyes – PRA negative either by blood testing or parentage 3 - Cardiac - OFA or other acceptable form of proof of testing from countries outside the USA. 4 - Cystinuria – negative results. ~ required for male dogs only These testing results must be
prominently displayed on your announcement. Announcements will be removed by the moderator six months
from the original posting date unless you contact me prior to the
removal date for an extension. (ie@ you still have puppies available Pictures and pedigrees are great - please feel free to post pictures of your puppies as they grow. If you want to add the pictures directly to your announcement just email them to me and I will add them for you. You may also just add an announcement that the puppies are available as a post on this thread.
The World Mastiff Forum can not guarantee the accuracy of health testing.
Verification is the responsibility of the buyer.

webpage link or a signature that contains a link to a webpage you

| Sharon here. Dozier (our last mastiff) is how we sign in. We had to put Dozier down two years ago at the age of 10. He was the most loving animal and had Earle's heart. We want another mastiff and would like a show quality dog. Dozier had every conceivable giant dog ailment, but we loved him and nursed him through surgeries, cancer and radiation treatment. I know that our new addition would be loved and extremely well cared for. Earle now has cancer and if his next ct/pet scan is as good as the last two, he deserves a dog. My beloved will not survive this terrible disease but I will have our loving mastiff to love. He may have years yet and has already beat the deadline the oncologist gave him. |
