Does anyone know of an alternative brand name for Malaseb ( Chlorhexidine/Miconazole ) shampoo?

The company that made this ( DVM ) was shut down by the FDA a few months ago. I am not sure what for. This shampoo was the best thing in the  world for Hummer.
He has so much dewlap and wrinkle. When he drools it gets caught in the folds of skin under his neck. Often this causes a yeasty build up. The Malaseb always worked great. But now I cannot find it anymore

Hi Eileen!

I'm not sure about the combo Chlorhexidine/Miconazole shampoo, but if you go to http://www.davismfg.com you can order the 2 seperately & mix them, if that helps!

I've also heard that the Melaleuca shampoo works well, though I've never used either before.

This works fantastic. We use it on Cole when he gets bumpies. The good thing is you can rub it right on to the bumps and leave it on.

Virbac Resi KetoChlor leave on Lotion
chlorhexidine ,gluconate2.3% w/w
ketoconazole 1%w/w
antiseptic

is that a prescription Mary?

I thought I found Eileen's shampoo but it's on "back order"...so they probably can't get it either.

Thanks ladies. Entirelypets is also backordered. So is every other company I have called.  The other companies the formula is not the same 20mg/2%. I think I will try that Davis site and mix it up myself.

Thanks George. But already found an alternative brand right here in the US. I now carry it in my dog bakery. It is called Ketoseb D. Same formula as the Malaseb just a different manufacturer

NEW! Ketoseb-D Antimicrobial/Anti-fungal Shampoo - 16 oz.

Say goodbye to skin staph skin rashes, fungus and hotspots. Pleasantly fragranced, antifungal, antibacterial shampoo containing both                                                                 Ketoconazole and Chlorhexidine to be used in the management of fungal and bacterial skin conditions
                                                                                                                                16 ounces … $17.50
